That first Maine Coon showed us the breed at its best: the loyalty of a dog, the grace of a wild animal, and the warmth of a lifelong companion. We wanted other families to experience exactly that — without the uncertainty that often comes with finding a reputable breeder.

 

So we started slowly and deliberately. We studied the breed’s genetic risks. We found mentors. We selected pedigreed breeding cats from champion bloodlines registered with TICA. We built relationships with a veterinary cardiologist and a specialist laboratory for genetic testing. And we committed to keeping our cattery small enough that we never lose sight of what matters — the individual kitten in front of us.

 

Today, every litter born at Noble Maine Coon Kittens is raised inside our home in Hampstead, Calgary — in the middle of daily family life, handled from day one, and cared for with the same attention we’d give our own pets. Because that’s exactly what they are, until the right family comes along.
